WARDROBEITEM NUMBER - 4342

THIS IS AN EDWARDIAN WARDROBE FROM THE 1900s, IT IS MADE FROM MAHOGANY (SOLID & VENEER) WITH INLAID DECORATION.

THE TOP SECTION IS A WARDROBE WITH 2 MIRRORED DOORS.

INSIDE THERE ARE A COUPLE OF COAT HOOKS ACROSS THE BACK WITH A HANGING RAIL.

THE BOTTOM SECTION HAS A DRAWER WITH METAL HANDLES. 

THE TOP PLINTH COMES OFF, AND THERE IS A BASE SECTION, AND THE MAIN WARDROBE SECTION. THERE ARE 3 PARTS IN ALL.

IT IS IN WORN CONDITION, WITH WEAR AND TEAR. THE RIGHTHAND DOOR HAS SPLIT THE RIGHTHAND PANEL SOME TIME AGO. IT HAS BEEN WELL REPAIRED AND IS STURDY. THERE IS SOME WOOD SPLIT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LEFTHAND SIDE OF THE BASE SECTION. GENERAL WEAR, SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES.

THIS COULD EASILY BE STRIPPED OR PAINTED. IT WOULD LOOK GREAT PAINTED IN A FARROW AND BALL TYPE COLOUR TO GIVE IT A CONTEMPORY LOOK. ?

Antique pine wardrobe,  Drawer on front with 2 round handles and hanging rail inside. Detachable top frame. Mother of pearl Art deco inlay design on the front top right and left hand corners of the wardrobe. Mirror on front of door.Dovetail joints to drawer.

A solid well made piece of furniture unlike your usual flatpack, built to last.

Restoration project 

A pair of wardrobes for restoration. Shelves have been added inside. The polished finish needs reviving and  the door catches are damaged. There is no sign of woodworm.

Overall size: 61.5 cm x 32 cm x 147 cm high.

I try to describe items as accurately as possible, pointing out any major defects or repairs but the item is not new and as such it will not be pristine. I will be pleased to answer any questions if you have queries.

You are welcome to collect from me here in Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9PH.   Pick up within 7 days of sale end please. Or you can send in your own courier (not a parcel carrier), the item will then be wrapped in stretch film and a label attached.

Or I can send by specialist courier for delivery to most of mainland England and Wales for £80. For deliveries to Southern Scotland please contact me with your post code for a quote.

Reduced delivery charge for combined item delivery.

Delivery can take up to three weeks from payment date, but its usually sooner. The driver is contracted to deliver kerbside only but will usually help carry the item inside.

  IKEA Leksvik Triple Wardrobe

This fine-looking wardrobe, we paid approx. £300.

Leksvik is very tasteful as well extremely practical as it offers ample storage space.

Within the double doors it has a hanging rail and a large shelf above. the single door conceals  4 shelves. 

 The wardrobe is in great condition as it has only been used to store baby clothes.

 It is being sold as seen and the wardrobe will be dismantled for ease of transportation.

 We are selling this wardrobe as it is TOO big for the little one’s clothes and space.

This is a very heavy, solid, quality antique pine wardrobe. It has been well looked after and loved and is in a good used condition. Any signs of wear and tear are simply consistent with a piece of this age (approximately 10 years old). The only marks I can find is a scuff on one of the handles which i've shown. There is also tiny two plastic stoppers missing from one side of the wardrobe which you would need to look hard to see.The approximate dimensions are 198cm high x 120cm wide x 54cm deep.The first two doors are double doors which open to reveal a large hanging area. The third door opens to reveal another smaller hanging area. Beneath this are three drawers on runners. Below these are two larger drawers on runners.The bottom of the wardrobe is supported by five round feet.Buyer must be able to collect and dismantle. I must stress this is a large, heavy item. I am also selling matching items in separate auctions.
